How is Optimal different from other insurers?
Optimal products and services are only available through selected intermediary partners. We do not service the whole of the intermediated market and do not accept ad-hoc business quotation requests from intermediaries who do not hold an agency with us.
How does it benefit you doing business in this way?
Whilst we recognise your clients are free to choose which intermediaries they engage with, at Optimal we view our relationship with you to be of paramount importance.
That's why, if at any stage you lose an Optimal insured client to another intermediary who does not hold an agency with us, we will not offer terms when the policy falls due for renewal.
Additionally, by limiting the number of intermediary partners we do business with we can;
- provide a more efficient service proposition.
- offer a more pro-active relationship/support structure.
- help supporting intermediary partners to retain and win new clients by providing valuable differential over other IFA competitors who do not hold an agency with us.
How do I join the Optimal revolution?
Operating on a 'limited agency basis' does unfortunately mean that we can only provide our products and services to a finite number of intermediaries. Every intermediary business we partner with is carefully chosen and whilst we don't have any set rules, this is primarily determined by:
- A shared core values alignment.
- A willingness from both parties to develop a strong long term business relationship.
- FCA authorisation of intermediary to provide advice on business protection products & services.
